Abstract:
The article actualizes the stylistic aspect of the textual syntax, which is
presented as a nuclear part of a comprehensive analysis of a work of art. It is
defined as a stylistic-syntactic analysis and is justified by the stylistic nature of
the syntax of the text; in this sense, it is considered as a direct object of stylistics,
and stylistics itself as a science, including about the functioning of text units, up
to itself. The analysis is presented on a single functional criterion for syntactic
means involved in the construction of the text, according to the formula «what?
– what for? – how?» Its functional basis is defined as a mechanism for considering
the linguistic form, including aesthetic, as a means of transmitting ideological
and thematic content. Thus, an analysis of the text is proposed from the point
of view of the syntactic specificity of the expression of this content as a way to
achieve the author’s goal. His algorithm is shown, correlated with the process
of complex analysis of a literary text in the unity of its linguistic, literary and
stylistic consideration. The function of the stylistic-syntactic approach itself is
substantiated, which consists in demonstrating ways to achieve the author’s idea
through the identification of a system of linguistic means, mainly syntactic ones.
At the same time, the scientific and practical vision of text syntax as the highest
syntactic system of the language and its functions is demonstrated. The experience
of stylistic and syntactic analysis is presented on the material of poetic texts by
the outstanding Ossetian poet, the founder of the Ossetian literary language K.
Khetagurov. Attention is also drawn to some of the revealed specifics of the syntax
of his texts as author’s techniques. The question is raised about the need for its
further research, which significantly expands the possibilities of demonstrating
the poet’s skill.
