Kavkaz Forum. 2022. Issue 10. Abstract: Religious processes in the North Caucasus are gaining great interest and relevance. Religion is an integral part of the lives of most young people. Under its influence, they manifest the value qualities of personality, form national mentality and the integrity of the world. The state and religious organizations play an important role in the life of modern youth, they help them with solving many social problems, as well as instill a patriotic feeling and high moral ideals. In general, the moral and patriotic education of young people depends on interaction between the two. Various youth religious associations, as well as the attitude of young people to confessional pReferences in socio-political, socio-cultural values, can lead to various contradictions and conflicts, in particular, to interethnic and interconfessional. Various youth projects are being developed to resolve them. One of the factors of state-confessional relations is the education of young people. Currently, one of the problems associated with the expansion of religious education is the interaction of religious and secular education, the influence of religious education on the educational process in secular educational institutions. The scientific novelty of this work consists in defining the purpose and setting the objectives of the study, which involve a comprehensive study of the attitude of young people to religion in the conditions of socio-political processes in the North Caucasus at the present stage. The purpose of this work is to characterize and analyze religious processes, religious education, the role of the state and religious organizations in the life of young people, etc. The study of religious processes among young people in the North Caucasus provides an opportunity to study their specifics, aspects and features. The role of religion in the life of the youth of the North Caucasus has been studied by many Russian researchers. The results obtained in the course of the work can be used in research and scientific and practical activities aimed at the stable functioning and development of the state subjects of the North Caucasus region.
